Week 10 Done

Week 10 Done

Hey everyone,

Here is the update on what’s been happening this week on the DTS.

Just 2 more weeks of lectures until I and the rest of the DTS start our outreaches. My week 12 update will be the final blog post until I get back from outreach.

Thanks to everyone for their prayers and support.

This week we had a 24/5 worship week and our lectures were also on worship, so there has been plenty of worship happening at the base this week which has been awesome! Everyday the students had a 1 hour slot that we would spend worshiping God by ourselves or with another student. We also had worship every morning as a base.

For the lectures we had a guy called Netani come down from the Townsville base to teach us.

We were taught what true worship looks like and how we can truly worship God. Worship is man’s deep acknowledgment that God is the source of life’s value, purpose and fulfilment and is an attitude of our hearts towards God. We learned what true worship is, and how we can truly worship God. Thanksgiving and praise leads to true worship and once we are truly worshiping our focus should be solely on God. We should always be glorifying God no matter the circumstances we find ourselves in because He is worthy of the praise.

I was challenged this week because I know that sometimes when I worship I can get easily distracted. I can be singing the worship songs but my mind could be somewhere else. I could be thinking about what others are thinking about me or even watching others worship. Worship should be between me and God. I also find it difficult to worship God when I’m in a difficult situation, but whatever I’m going through should not affect my worship to God.

On Wednesday this week Netani decided to pray for the students and when he prayed for me he received a prophetic word from God for me. It just so happened to be the same word I’ve received from 3 other people when they’ve prayed for me, so God is really trying to tell me something and I’m starting to really pray about what His calling for my life is. I’d really appreciate prayer about this.

Thanks for reading this week’s update.

God Bless,
Tim
